O how easy it is for this world’s trouble to ensnare us. We would be as a ship without a rudder, drifting from place to place at sea. Without hope, anxiety reigns. Yet with Jesus, we have true peace, brimful and running over.

“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.”

(Colossians 3:14-15)

Place your trust in God, and He will give you rest from this world’s trouble. No longer will we need to chase after the wind of activity that surrounds our lives. He will fill us with hope, which will settle our minds and our hearts. He will give us lasting peace.

We can do all things through Jesus. He gave Himself up so that we might live. What life is it if we seek to honor Him by striving after that which dishonors Him? True repentance is turning from sin and doing what He taught. Only then will we have a quieted mind.

Seek God’s will and look to Him for relief. He will not fail us. His trouble weighs less than what the world holds. Give ear to His voice and lift your eyes to the Lord, for He is good. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.

If we open our hearts to God in true repentance, asking for forgiveness of our sins, doing what is right in His eyes and trusting Him with everything we have, He will not forsake us. He will be our God forever, and He will give us everlasting life through Jesus Christ our savior.

“Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.”

(Isaiah 26:4)

This life is a vapor. In the blink of an eye, all of this will fade away. God has promised us, though, that He will remember us. He will raise us from the grave, give us the crown of glory for which we have desired, and we will reign with Him forever.

Even more so, we are to judge the angels. If we are to inherit such power, what manner of people ought we to be? Be kind toward one another. Give hope to brothers and sisters who bear sorrow in their heart. Show mercy always as the Lord has shown mercy to us.

When someone asks us of our hope, proclaim the good news of Christ’s life, death and resurrection and the coming kingdom, which will one day rain down from heaven as water pours from a cloud. Give hope to others and trust in the Lord always.

Do you believe God will not leave you or forsake you? You do well, for He has given His Son Jesus so that you may live. He will not allow sin to choke the very hope that is in you. His deliverance is as sure as the sun rises and the sun sets.

God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling.

(Psalms 46:1-3)

Our enemies may cause us to stumble. That ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, may raise walls against us. Fear not and take heart, for God Himself will provide you a way of escape. All will one day bow their knees to the Eternal. Not a one shall escape His judgment.

Our God made the heavens and the earth. He made all that is. Has the sun so vanished from the sky? Has the ocean dried up from shore to shore? Be it far from us! Then how difficult would it be for God to send an angel of light to pull us from the mire? No other God can do that.

God’s plan will not fail. We will not fall short of the purpose for which He has created us. He will purge our lives of the sin that seeks to ensnare us. He will defeat our enemies. They will drop to their knees. God is our refuge and strength.

The gospel is about Jesus being the Son of God, who came as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins so that after our repentance we would have reconciliation with God. Our commission is to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them what Christ taught.

“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”

(Matthew 28:18-20)

God is merciful. He will wait for us to come to Him after our calling. The surety of our salvation rests in Jesus. He is our rock. He died so that we could live. No other truth is as simple as believing Jesus is the Christ. Through that belief, we have hope in a future, dwelling in the house of the Lord forever.

But how do we preach the gospel to the world if the world is hostile toward Jesus? Show mercy to those who wrong us, just as God shows mercy to us when we wrong Him. Teach those who lack understanding. Provide to those in need. Show love to all. Give to all. Bless all.

No greater sacrifice is there than to give one’s life for a friend. Therefore, let us dedicate our lives to those who, in the future, will be our friends in Christ, always remembering that we have a great commission in Jesus.

Before Jesus returned to heaven, He instructed His disciples to preach the gospel into all the world. What better way today to preach the gospel than to show others how Jesus has changed us. By being a light, others will see God’s glory through the darkness.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

(Matthew 5:14-16)

One of the greatest testimonies anyone could preach is to show how Jesus changed one’s life. Through acts of kindness and doing God’s will, which is keeping His commandments, the world will have no excuse in not seeing God. For through us, and our acts, all will see God.

How do we preach the gospel to the world? Show kindness to everyone longing for answers. Impart knowledge to those seeking God. Proclaim the name of Jesus. Give to the poor. Comfort the sick. Bless all.

Let us remember, in all that we do, we are glorifying God. For whatever trial others may be going through, our hope in Jesus may one day also visit them. Therefore, preach the gospel into all the world and let your light shine before others.

God sent Jesus, His Son, into the world so that we might know the fullness of His love for us, for He had given Him as a sacrifice for our sins. We no longer bear the burden of our guilt, as Christ bore it for us on the cross. He died so that we might live.

“He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ Simon Peter replied, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’”

(Matthew 16:15-16)

Jesus gave sight to the blind, gave voice to the mute and gave hearing to the deaf. The lame walked in His presence, the dead rose by His command and demons scattered at His appearance. He is the Christ with whom God is well pleased.

Christ died on the cross, and after three days and three nights, He rose again. He appeared to the apostles, who recorded His appearances so that others would believe. The gospels are a proclamation, which testify, without a doubt, that Jesus is God’s Son.

There is no one like Jesus. By His name, we do great works. We heal the sick, feed the poor and give joy to the sorrowful. No other being that lived, and is living now at the right hand of the Father, is more important to us. He is Christ, Son of the living God.

All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Christ Jesus our Lord. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, and the author and finisher of our faith. Under no other name can anyone claim mercy, grace and salvation. He is God’s Son and the Chosen One.

“So that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

(Philippians 2:10-11)

Jesus is all we need. No longer do the shackles of iniquity bind us. Through His death and resurrection, we have life everlasting. The devil does not have a claim over our lives. Jesus redeemed us from the slavery of sin. We are now His and salvation is now ours.

Jesus loved us so much that He was willing to give up His life for us. Through Him, we have meaning. Through Him, we have purpose. He counts us as brothers and sisters. The darkness no longer surrounds us, for the light of God lives in us through Jesus, who lives in us.

All other gods are chaff. Great is our God. His love endures forever. He crowned His son Jesus with all power and all glory to sit at His right hand and rule forever. Great is the name of Jesus. His name is above all other names.
