There is no greater feeling than knowing God is there waiting and willing to help when we stumble and fall. Trials and tribulations happen to all, but not all turn to God for rest. Jesus commanded us to look to Him for that rest, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Whatever we might be suffering, we do not have to go through it alone. The Lord God will rescue us from our adversity. All we have to do is ask. If we sincerely open our hearts to Him and want Him in our lives, He will surely not allow us to suffer beyond that which we can bear.

The Lord Is Our Refuge explores how Christians can rely on God during difficult times. We do not have to endure affliction alone. Christ Jesus suffered so that we could live. Salvation is ours now. No other comforting thought gives us more hope than that of the day we will rise to our Heavenly Father and attain eternal life.

In every miracle God is there showing His love for those who believe. His powerful presence is in all things He created, for by His spirit He holds all things together for good. Whatever may become of us when we perish will not hold fast, for as true as the sun rises, so will we one day rise to stand before the throne of God and marvel at His heavenly countenance.

Each moment we breathe is a moment closer to being with God. His plan is for us to be like Him: gracious, kind, considerate, gentle, patient, loving and joyful; His spirit in our hearts is all it takes for Him to live through us.

Pleasures Forevermore looks at how Christians can grow in God’s nature and find ultimate joy by seeking Him continually. By asking God for His spirit, our prayers will be as sweet incense that fills the heavens with heartfelt praise, and by it that we may reap gladness with every word we pray, for God is good and His goodness makes our soul glad.

Jack Flacco, author, and founder of Looking to God Ministries, had no clue what was happening one night when his oldest son ended up in the mental health unit at the local hospital. His son had experienced an apparent autistic shutdown, a condition in which someone who suffers from autism shuts the world out in an effort to protect oneself from harm. His son’s stay there was a whole month.

Why would God allow something like this to happen to a family who believed earnestly in His promises? What prompted a trial of this magnitude to unfold, bringing to remembrance what Job went through when he agonized over losing his family and his possessions?

God Is Love gives the reader a view of God as being the creator and sustainer of all things, author and finisher of the universe and the source of all power to those who believe Jesus is his son. It also guides those who are looking to understand why God allows suffering in this world. And with that suffering, how God provides the strength and comfort to overcome.

Trials affect everyone, but God always shows us a way out.

When the apostle Peter asked Jesus how many times he should forgive his brother, Jesus answered seventy-seven times. This was to illustrate God’s forgiveness is boundless, without end. A week after that conversation, God gave his only son as a sacrifice to save many from the penalty of sin.

What would it be like to forgive as God forgives? Is it possible to erase from memory someone else’s slight, in spite of the lingering bad feelings brought on by bitterness?

God’s calling to forgive one another is just the beginning. His desire is to overwhelm people with his spirit so that a hardened heart may melt to become loving and generous. Above everything else, God wants a relationship with every person who hears his word. In this practical guide, Jack Flacco recounts the events that led to his transformation and explores techniques that has allowed him to overcome hatred, envy and resentment.

Ranger Martin and the Search for ParadiseThere is no cure. The change is permanent. Whoever says they can fix this is wrong.

Months ago, billions of people died in the zombie apocalypse. The survivors either have become refugees looking for a way out or have turned against each other. No one will admit they killed their friend for a package of raisins. It happens though, and there isn’t anything anyone can do about it.

Undead slayer Ranger Martin makes the unforgiving Arizona desert his home. He has never had to defend it. He has never had to kill anyone for it. If anything, he has shelved his shotgun and has taken an early retirement package.

That is, until now.

When the military lays siege on his silo, Ranger and his crack team of professionals—a bunch of kids, really—have no other choice than to run. But after he discovers a map that may lead to a mythic city called Paradise, where neither army nor zombie can invade, Ranger mounts a cross-state journey to find the place of safety before the others find him and it’s too late.

Ranger Martin and the Alien InvasionIn a cold cemetery just outside American Fork, Utah, zombie slayer Ranger Martin sets his trap, four gas drums strung together and the barrel of his shotgun acting as the fuse. The undead crowd erupts in a blaze of body parts. If only all of Ranger’s enemies would die this way. What Ranger doesn’t know is his greatest foe may not be a hungry horde after all, but a vicious fiend bent on destroying the planet.

They came from the sky. No one knew what to call them. By that time, it was too late. The dreaded lights from their ships plunged the world into darkness and everyone from Oregon to Virginia had disappeared. Now, with the towns and cities empty, no one will be able to stop the invaders’ brutal assault on the survivors. That is, no one except for Ranger Martin and a group of young tagalongs eager to once again reclaim the globe as their home. Together, they fight the elements, kill alien and zombie alike, and liberate the weak from their military oppressors. But will Ranger have enough time to defeat another wave of silver ships screaming toward Earth before it delivers its fatal payload? Or will he succumb to the whims of a sadistic, power-hungry general obsessed with eliminating anyone threatening his plans?

Ranger Martin and the Zombie ApocalypseNever call them zombies. That was one of the rules. So much for rules, everyone who made up that garbage is either dead or undead. It doesn’t matter anymore. They go by other names—chewers, eaters, maggot bags, the changed. Whatever they’re called, they’re everywhere. And they’re not giving up until every last human becomes a single serving entrée to satiate their uncontrollable appetite.

Enter shotgun-toting Ranger Martin who is determined to end the zombies’ all-you-can-eat buffet. In an abandon military silo on the outskirts of the Nevada/Arizona border, he and his specialized team of assassins plan their assaults. Who’s he kidding? His team consists of three kids in their teens, and a boy barely old enough to wipe his own nose. But when a secret air force base in the Mojave Desert proves there’s more to the change than anyone knew, the temptation is too great. Now Ranger and the others set out on the road to overthrow the center of the infestation—a frantic race that will either destroy the hunger-prone zombies or cost him and his friends their lives.

  1. Hi Jack!

So honored that you read my latest blog post! Coming from you, it’s a BIG deal!! Like most girls who commented here, I too are not big into your genre (I think it’s a boy thing!) BUT I would highly recommend it to any one whos looking for this type of book! I am currently working on my own book, it is a non-fiction Christian book with a very similiar feel as my blog! I would love any tips, tricks and feedback about the publishing world!
    All the best,

    1. Thanks so much for all the kind words, Erica. I really appreciate it! Any questions about writing, let me know through my Contact page, and I’ll be happy to help!

  2. Thanks for popping by my blog. I can’t say I’ve ever read any Zombie books, not being a fan of the living dead and all that, but as you liked my blog I’m going to give it a go! Getting my Kindle out now!

  3. Thank you for dropping by at my blog. I would not have found you and your book otherwise; well, not this soon anyway. The book sounds Fan-tastic and I am definitely gonna get me a copy!

  4. Jack,

How in the world did you come about having Ranger Martin wearing an Oklahoma City Redhawks ball cap in chapter one? You being from Canada?

  5. But I WILL persevere! If it doesn’t come out in Nook before the summer, I’ll pick it up in July. 🙂 Considering my current textbook deadlines, I might not realistically get to read it before summer anyway. haha (Though, if the truth be told, I’d MAKE time.) 🙂

  6. Of course I have! 😀

But living in Taiwan makes it difficult and/or expensive. Not that you aren’t worth it, but I was just thinking that if I could get it on Nook, I’d be all set. 🙂 Failing that, I can definitely pick it up this summer when I’m back in the States, or con one of my relatives to pick it up and send it to me, which is cheaper than the shipping and handling charged commercially. I asked the question because if it was coming on Nook, that would just be the most convenient for me. 🙂

    1. Ack! These distribution channels don’t make it easy for an author to reach his intended audience at times! Or for a fan to indulge in an author’s fancy, for that matter!

    1. Hi Deborah!

Currently it’s available exclusively for the Kindle. There are plans to introduce this title to the Nook. However, it will take some time before that takes place. Have you thought of purchasing the paperback?
