  1. Dear Jack, thank you for visiting my blog. Some feedback for you. I like the clarity and length of your posts. They include a photo and the font is easy to read, and there are breaks in the information shared.

Blogs are open to being creative and sharing stories and I am sure you have more than one story to tell. In my health category I share my kidney transplant stories, including my miracle transplant. I think your blog is an opportunity to connect but stories are the way to do that.

One of my favourite verses is 1 John 1:5 which talks about how there is no darkness at all. It brings to mind being at Camp Luther when I was about 11 years old. This camp was near Mission, BC and I was there for a week. I stayed in a cabin with a half dozen other boys and our cabin counselor. It was a fun time, singing christian songs – some around campfires, learning grace ( I still remember those), doing crafts and of course swimming in the freezing lake. But one night after campfire I lay awake staring at the wooden roof just a few feet above my bunk and it felt like someone was there. The next morning I told my counselor and we prayed together and I began my walk as a Christian in a different way than I had started the week.

So for me – out of the darkness, came the light, in a little cabin, many summers ago.

    1. Hi Kevin,

Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world” (John 18:36).

May God’s grace and peace be with you always,

      Jack

  2. Wow! Love your testimony! I had to chuckle about the zombies. I substitute teach at our local public school and the zombie craze there made me realize that we often resemble zombies in our Christian walk–the walking dead!
So glad you are now alive in Christ! Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Thank you. Your website is wonderful. May God continue to bless your ministry in reaching people through your books and posts. Interesting that you support the Kidney foundation – I have kidney disease and wondering of you or a loved one does too. Many times in Torah the sacrifices offered specify that the kidneys belong to the Lord. God bless you and your family. Laura

  4. Hello and thank you for visiting my blog.

I had to chuckle when I came here and read your brief bio. You see, to me, it makes perfect sense, as I hold that we are all walking dead up until the time we acknowledge and accept God’s gracious gift of reconciliation and eternal life through faith in His Son, Yeshua/IESVS/Jesus, the Messiah/Christos/Christ — our redeemer, savior, and friend.

I’m now following your blog and will be back to catch up on some of your previous posts.

Grace and peace to you and yours,
    kdr

  8. Don’t feel that you have to answer this, Jack (if you even have time to read comments), but just wanted to let you know that I’m thinking of you and wishing you the very best. Also, I hope you & your family had a peaceful and meaningful Easter. Take care!
