Be kind to all, for we do not know what their trials are. They may be suffering greatly and their only hope is through us, through whom the light of Jesus shines. Bless them and give them hope. They do not know what their end is as we do.
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.”
(Ephesians 2:4-5)
Show mercy to the ungrateful, for as Jesus showed mercy to those who killed him, so ought we to show mercy on them. We know our salvation is sure. We do not have to worry that we will fall under judgment, for our judgment is now and our hope is in Jesus who died for us.
Every knee will one day bow to the Lord. Take heed, remain faithful and true to our God, who will show mercy on us when we come before His throne of judgment. Have mercy on those who do not believe, for their fate is to also to go before the Lord of Hosts.
Have mercy on the arrogant, for their end is in God’s hands. Show grace to the proud, for they know not what they do. Bless all, show kindness to the unkind and give to those who ask. Never lose hope, for our salvation is sure. Be rich in mercy.
The kindness one resonated with me. So many people are the walking wounded…perhaps just having gotten devastating news… caring for a sick loved one… struggling to pay the rent, food, whatever. I’m trying (a WIP) to remember this and not get rankled by rudeness.
We have a difficult road ahead, Darryl, but God does give us the means by which we can live a joyful life through His Son Jesus. As we show kindness toward others, we show Jesus to others and how He would show kindness, which means, we become more like Jesus every day. God bless you, Darryl!
Having mercy on the arrogant isn’t easy, but thank you for reminding everyone to be merciful, no matter what. Have a great day, Jack.
The joy we receive when doing God’s will fashions us to be more like him, which is his will also. God bless you, Mary!
Thanks, Jack, for the reminders and encouragement! Mercy and compassion are like wet and water, impossible to separate, but as stated in a comment below, with God’s help, we can do better.
May God grant you the peace you need daily. May His mercy in your life never end!
Great post.. thank you ❤️
May God’s hope and peace be with you forever!
Amen, Amen, AMEN! 🙂
Thank you for this
God bless you always, Joanne!
Amen. As we have been shown mercy, we need to do likewise. I haven’t always done that, but with God’s help I will do better.
Thank you, Jack Flacco, for your timely message, and for all your messages which are so peaceful and full of grace.
Sue Smith
May God give you peace and grace, Sue. May His mercy always be in your life!
Thank you! May He do the same for you also, Jack!
I need this reminder frequently when driving. Sometimes I print verses about patience and paste them on my dash as a reminder!🤠
I’ll use the Ephesians passage next.
May you keep the Lord’s Word always in your mind and in your heart. God bless!
Indeed and Amen.
Bless you always!
Amen ⚜️ 🙏
