How easy it is to fall distracted by a false gospel. Many say, “The Lord is here.” Some say, “The Lord has deemed it so.” And then others are saying, “The truth is abound.” God is not a God of confusion but of peace.
“Do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
(Matthew 6:31-34)
We need to keep our focus on Jesus. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Only His sheep will recognize His voice, and they will know what His will is, as it will be the Father’s will also. His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
Allow not anxiety to strangle the truth from our minds. Our hope and strength is in Jesus. He is all we need. Take heed not to listen to others who want you to fall. Keep God’s Word, strengthen each other with truth, and love one another as Jesus did when he died for us.
Lastly, brethren, listen for God’s voice, for it will not come in a thunderous wind but in a gentle breeze. Follow His voice, pay attention to where it leads and give caution to others so as they also may find salvation. Stay the course.
Listen to His Voice! Amen 🙏
We can’t go wrong listening to God. He knows what we need before we need it. Blessings Steve!
Great word.
Thank you Jack.
Grace to you and Peace.
Peace to you also, Crissy!
These words in your post-“Allow not anxiety to strangle the truth from our minds” really strikes me today. In the midst of the Anti-AAPI acts of hate, I am hoping that when I speak with students telling them that fear and ignorance can be deafening it has the same meaning. To know that the Lord loves us and for us to be like Him, along with solidarity can give us the courage to cut through the noise of racism. By cutting that noise we can hear God whispering his words of love to us. Thank you for your words of encouragement. God Bless.
All things happen for a reason and are on God’s timetable. All we need to do is have faith in Him and He will do the rest. God bless, Kathleen.
