God is forgiving in all things, who would not want anyone to perish. His mercies are from sunset to sunset; there is no end. He is patient, kind and loving. No matter what we have done, He is ready to forgive. God’s love for us will never fail.
“I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
(Jeremiah 31:33-34)
If we repent and give our heart to the Lord, His spirit will live in us, and we will live in Him. We will want to forgive others as He has forgiven us. His grace will be upon us, and we will fellowship with Him in the fullness of joy.
Great is our God for having given His Son Jesus so that we would have salvation, for through Christ’s sacrifice we have everlasting life.
When we believe in Jesus, we believe God will forgive us. We no longer have sin as our master, but we have true freedom, where we are no longer bond slaves to iniquity. Our liberty is in God the Father, the one and only true God, who loves us without restraint.
We have freedom to love, to be at peace, to have patience with one another, to be kind and good, to have faith, and to show gentleness and self-control. Our greatest joy comes from knowing God has redeemed us with Christ’s sacrifice.
Let us go, therefore, to all the world and proclaim the gospel to all nations, for God’s grace and mercy shall abound forever. In all things, God is forgiving.

I believe that the enemy makes us believe that we are not worthy of God’s forgiveness. If we don’t feel like we are forgiven, it will keep us in bondage.
Thank you for reminding all of us that God is a forgiving God.
We are under God’s grace and therefore given the gift of the Holy Spirit, in spite of our past sins. For by his kindness, mercy and grace we are saved, not because of anything we have done, but because He forgave us.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against. A prayer of forgiveness is a prayer to pray as a lifestyle🙂

Oh what a great loving God who always go before us and pave the way for us. He forgive us of our sins then He took the responsibility to write His law in our heart and mind. He make us His people and be the True and Living Faithful God to us. Very thoughtful post Jack

God’s mercy is always sure and just in all things, and it never fails, for His love for us is perfect.
In (John 20:19-21), Jesus appeared to His disciples soon after His death and blessed them with peace. He then imparted them the Holy Spirit (v. 22) and reminded them what He had taught them when he was with them (v. 23). This verse points to church government and authority (see Matthew 16:19; 18:15-18). This is concerning a brother who sins. If he sins and we tell him that he has sinned, and he does not turn away from his sin, we must then approach him with others. If he still does not listen, we must tell the church about him; and if he still is unwilling to repent, his sin will be on his head. We are to forgive, but there is also a responsibility in the church to administer what Christ taught in order to preserve the church and allow a brother or a sister, who is a sinner, the opportunity to repent (see also 1 Corinthians 5).
I hope this helps with understanding why Christ said what He said.
