Glorify God

A few things in our lives are sweet: the giggle of children playing, a song everyone knows, the joyful tears of someone cured, a humble heart, a patient mind, a debt paid by another, and the one, whom in everything, glorifies God.

“I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.” (Psalms 86:12)

When we spread out our hands to God and worship Him, we are glorifying Him. When we give thanks to Him and praise Him in all things, all glory belongs to Him. And when we dedicate all that we do to Him, His is the glory now and forever.

God redeemed our lives through Christ’s sacrifice. Jesus’ death and resurrection paid for the debt of our sins. God has forgiven us, and He now calls us His children. O how great our God is for Him to have given Himself wholly this way to call us His sons and daughters!

In the same way, we should give of ourselves wholly to God, dedicating every moment in thought to Him, blessing our enemies, giving to the poor, showing compassion toward those who hate us, removing gossip from our tongues, and living pure and orderly lives according our Father who is in Heaven.

In this way, we glorify God.

  1. God bless you most abundantly Jack! Indeed, we were created to glorify God forever. What an honor. Thank You Lord! 🙂

  2. blessing our enemies and showing compassion to those that hate us are BIG deals. It takes the SPirit of God to help us with that. It goes against our natural fleshly tendencies. But in the process God does get all the glory since its only by His help that these can be accomplished. Great post.

  3. One has to glorify Him when He is our life. Each day I live I grow deeper in the knowledge of His love for me and the whole world and my want to glorify Him becomes stronger. Of course the battle is always there for the defeated enemy hates for us to glorify God. thanks for the encouraging post.

    1. I cannot go a day without truly being amazed by God’s mercy and kindness in our lives. Our very existence is to glorify the Great God! Blessings always

  4. Thank you Jack, excellent POST!

To Glorify God is to achieve the very reason for our existence! Is this just a personal musing? No it is not.
Isaiah 43: 7 & 21 ” [7] And every one that calleth upon my name, I have created him for my glory, I have formed him, and made him. & [21] This people have I formed for myself, they shall shew forth my praise”

What a beautiful God has Imposed upon Us. Amen
    God Bless you Jack,
    Patrick
