A Harvest of Righteousness Is Sown in Peace

Should the people desire peace, let they themselves be peaceful. Should the people want quiet, let they themselves be quiet. There is no anger in peace. There is no anxiety in quietness. God comforts the spirit of the saints with His love.

“And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”

(James 3:18)

Do not be deceived, brethren. Many speak in Jesus’ name, but are not from Jesus. Many will sow seeds of division to satisfy their own lustful desires. Give the unrighteous their own place to bury their dead. We, however, will follow Jesus. For His love lasts forever.

Show mercy to the just and the unjust. Be at peace with all and never quarrel with the demons. Jesus has won that battle. His angels surround the saints, and no one can stop the army of God. Love Jesus always.

Be slow to anger and thoughtful in speech. Restrain your tongue, for it is as a sword, which cuts both ways through the skin and through the marrow. Be vigilant to sow peace in all your dealings, for a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace.

Search Me, O God, and Know My Heart

God knows everything. He sees all things before they happen. He knows us and what we will do. His knowledge is without limit, His power is without restraint and His mercy is without boundaries. He searches our hearts and sees us for who we are; and He still loves us.

“O LORD, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.
You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.”

(Psalms 139:1-6)

God will protect us from harm, standing before and behind us, bearing the weight of whatever may want to pierce our souls. His light on our path is forever sure. No other god can know us, for no other god has created us other than God, who is God.

O how wonderful God is to have loved me so much that He would give His Son Jesus to rescue me from the penalty of my sins. His love is from everlasting to everlasting. His grace upon my life is sure and true. No other god is greater than our God.

Lord God, You know me when I rise, You know me when I rest. You know me when I am at my weakest and at my strength. You have power over my breath, and You have vision into my days. Search me, O God, and know my heart.

I Will Take You to Be My People

Throughout our lives, we have groped for the light. We have searched for meaning and purpose in other things; but the only thing that has satisfied is doing God’s will. Nothing has come close to seeing God’s will working in our lives.

“I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.”

(Exodus 6:7)

By God’s will, we have life. By His mercy, we have hope of a resurrection to everlasting life. Through Jesus, we have that life. God took us out of the darkness and made us His. We are His elect. No one can take away what God has given us.

God will seize and bind the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan. He no longer has dominion in our lives, for through God’s sacrifice, we are His; He lives in us. Whatever may ail us, God will heal by His Spirit.

Be kind to one another. Give freely to the poor and to the sick. Show mercy to those who need mercy. Be thoughtful and generous to all. God will provide. We ought not to worry, for as God promised, “I will take you to be my people.”

For God So Loved the World

How great is God’s love for us? He created all things, great and small, yet, who are we that He should have concern for us? We are heirs and co-heirs to all that He has made. He loves us so much that He guaranteed our inheritance through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

(John 3:16)

Jesus’s death and resurrection provides us with the hope of forgiveness for all the sins we have committed. Through Him, we have hope of eternal life, where there will be no more tears, no more pain and we shall dwell with God forever.

God so loved us before He created us. He purposed our lives for Himself and provides us with the strength to overcome our trials. Whatever seems hard, whatever seems tough and whatever seems impossible to us, God gives us what we need to make all things possible through Him.

In Jesus’ name, we have healing and redemption. By His power, we have purpose and strength. By God’s almighty plan, we have hope for a future when all things will be made new again. For God so loved the world.

We Have Surety of His Grace

God is faithful in all things. His mercy falls on all who believe. He will not ask us to bear suffering beyond our means. He will not allow misery to fill our hearts. His grace through the shed blood of Christ will save us.

“He gives more grace. Therefore it says, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.”

(James 4:6-8)

By God’s mercy and grace, we have salvation. By His Spirit, we have everlasting love. He heals us because it pleases Him, and it is His will. No illness is stronger that He cannot overcome. God heals all who believe.

Look to God for help. Call to Him, for He is good, righteous and just. He will not allow us to fall. He will lift us from our trials, comfort us with His Word, and deliver us from all adversities. His way leads to life, and He will always keep us safe in the midst of turmoil.

Oh, how wonderful it is to raise our hands in praise to God our Father, who has given us eternal life through Jesus our Lord. His deeds are awesome and His ways are just, that from age to age, we have surety of His grace.

Lay Up God’s Words in Your Heart

In the beginning, before God created the heavens and the earth, was the Word. Through the Word, God made all things. He created us, breathed into us the breath of life and made us living souls. The Word later came into the world and His name was Jesus.

“Agree with God, and be at peace;
thereby good will come to you.
Receive instruction from his mouth,
and lay up his words in your heart.
If you return to the Almighty you will be built up.”

(Job 22:21-23)

Fellow believers, keep God’s Word tightly in your heart and lift your eyes to the Lord. His rescue is at hand. The day is coming when we shall be with Him always and shall dwell with Him forever. Salvation is ours now, therefore repent and live.

Give ear to the Lord and never let go of the promises He has bound in Heaven for us. Not by any means shall the Word of the Lord pass. As He spoke, so shall it be done; and no one can stop the Lord’s purpose from revealing itself. His words will not fail.

Seasons may come and go, governments may rise and fall, but the Word of the Lord will remain fast and true. Nothing and no one can thwart God’s plan. Stay true to your calling and forever lay up God’s words in your heart.

Have Faith in God

In everything we do, God is there looking after us. Our hope lies in Him, for trials come and go, people can abandon us, places will disappear, but God will always remain the same. His love for us never fades.

“And Jesus answered them, ‘Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be taken up and thrown into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.'”

(Mark 11:22-23)

Nothing is impossible for God. Through Jesus, we have salvation. Through Him, our destiny is sure. How much more would God do for us if He has already sacrificed His Son in order that we might be saved?

Our trials are only for a moment. We may feel we cannot overcome, but Jesus overcame. We may feel belittled, unwanted and thrown away. Jesus felt belittled, unwanted and thrown away. We may cry out to God, praying that if it were possible that He would remove this cup. Jesus prayed also these things.

Jesus had complete faith in God because He knew God would always rescue Him. Like Jesus, we also have hope that one day all our troubles will be no more. As many times as we fall, God is there to lift us from the ground. He will never abandon us.

Our rescue will not vanish so long as we have faith in God.
