Make Disciples of All Nations

The good news of the gospel is that Jesus died so that we might live. No other event in history is as important as Christ giving up His life in order that God might save us. No longer do we have a penalty hanging over our heads for the wrongs we have committed.

“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”

(Matthew 28:18-20)

As the Holy Spirit lives in us, God’s purpose lives in us and becomes our purpose. We will want to draw others to Jesus, so that they might experience the same joy we experience when we fellowship with God. There is no substitute for His love.

Whatever rejection we may feel from those who do not want to follow Christ, is a rejection of God Himself. We have done what Jesus had commanded, to act as God’s instrument in His hands. If others reject us, then they are rejecting God.

Bless everyone with the good news of God’s salvation, Jesus Christ. Give them peace by giving them hope. Show them what Christ living in us could do for them. Go and make disciples of all nations.

  1. Jesus came to seek that which was lost. Two weekends ago we had the chance to seek that which was lost in our family as we gather together for two days. I love those time because when there is a lot of people the timing is important. Our grown son got a chance to talk to his cousin while there. My husband witness to his brother in law and brother. I had a chance with his sister and a couple of nieces. One does not have to go very far to find the lost or one who has walked away from and needs restored. Great post.

    1. Preaching to family is difficult, but with God, all things are possible. God bless you. May He bring all those around you to repentance so that everyone may have the chance of living the life God meant for us!
