He Gave His Only Son

God is forgiving in all things, who would not want anyone to perish. His mercies are from sunset to sunset; there is no end. He is patient, kind and loving. No matter what we have done, He is ready to forgive. God’s love for us will never fail.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

(John 3:16)

If we repent and give our heart to the Lord, His spirit will live in us, and we will live in Him. We will want to forgive others as He has forgiven us. His grace will be upon us, and we will fellowship with Him in the fullness of joy.

When we believe in Jesus, we believe God will forgive us. We no longer have sin as our master, but we have true freedom, where we are no longer bond slaves to iniquity. Our liberty is in God the Father, the one and only true God, who loves us without restraint.

We have freedom to love, to be at peace, to have patience with one another, to be kind and good, to have faith, and to show gentleness and self-control. Our greatest joy comes from knowing God has given us eternal life through His Son whom He gave for the redeption of our sins.

  1. Thank you, Jack Flacco, for your timely message. I am working on forgiving others, because I, too, want to be forgiven. It is hard in some situations, but I must do it because it will free the prisoner, and the prisoner was me all along. Blessings to you, and peace from our Lord and Savior!

  2. Very well said. God is known as Father to me. It is not easy for Him to see His children in this manner, living in sin and under authorities(Leaders) that have no authority given to them ny Him. What we get for voting in man over Him. He is forigiving, but we need to be better and be ready for the changes He is about to make.

  3. This is a deeply heartfelt and faith-filled reflection, rich with devotion and sincerity.

What stands out most is the unwavering emphasis on God’s boundless mercy and love. Your words carry a comforting reassurance—that no matter how far one may feel, forgiveness and grace are always within reach. The way you express God’s patience, kindness, and willingness to forgive creates a sense of peace and hope that is both uplifting and encouraging.

    1. You must be the Michael Smith I began including in my daily prayers a while back, along with other bloggers with health issues. I’ll continue to pray for you, Michael. God bless you.

    2. Michael, may God grant you peace and bless you with hope. May He also heal you of all your infirmities and bless you with grace and mercy through His Son Jesus.
