Through our many trials and tribulations, God is there, and He will rescue us. He will not abandon His people. He will cover us with His hand and lead us to safety. His protection will be on those who love Him.
“The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold and my refuge,
my savior; you save me from violence.
I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised,
and I am saved from my enemies.”(2 Samuel 22:2-4)
As these days turn dark and our vision diminishes, let us remember the Lord, for He is good. He will not let us suffer more than we can bear. This life is but a vapor and our true reward is in the salvation the Lord promised through His son Christ Jesus.
Let us be glad and cheerful knowing God has a place prepared for us. Our comfort is in His Word. His Word is a light unto our feet, a provision for our mind and a treasure for our heart. He clothes us in security and provides us with what we need. He will give us the strength to overcome our fears.
We will count on the Lord’s wisdom as a standard against plague. His mercy will not fail us. His power will penetrate the very marrow of our being, providing us the encouragement we so truly seek. In all things, fear not, the Lord is our Shield.
