God Will Fight for You

You do not have to fight your own battles, for the Lord said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” If our enemies hear silence from us, then they ought to fear, for that is when God is preparing a response on our behalf.

“For the LORD your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.”

(Deuteronomy 20:4)

No manner of threat to our lives can sway us from believing Jesus is our Lord and Savior. Others may torment us, they may persecute us, and they may throw us into the fire, but if God is for us, who can be against us?

Whatever sufferings we may endure at the hands of our persecutors, they will know, they cannot take away our salvation through Christ. All their works, He will count as dross. None of them shall escape.

Our hope rests in the Lord. He will take care of our enemies. He will intervene on our behalf. No affliction is greater than God’s judgment, for it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. God will fight for you.

  1. Sadly there are some who when reading this will think God will go and get in to punch up for them but isn’t what is meant, nor will God hunt down and kill people for us, that isn’t what God is about. Far to many take things to literally

    1. I have seen Him take some people out, and I have seen some businesses go under when God has had enough of them. His patience can come to an end. The Bible says so. But we are to pray for our enemies and to bless them, not to curse them. It is in our best interest to do so.

  2. AMEN!

    More words of comfort…

Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.  Thou prepares a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anoints my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

    Thank you Jack!

    Blessings,

  3. Sometimes I want to take my own revenge, even though I bring many things on myself. I know you’re right, and I thank you for reiterating God’s Word! It lifted me up.

      1. Sometimes His good is painful for me, but I know it is for my ultimate good. God bless you also!

  4. Amen Amen 🙏🏾. There are seasons when God wants us to rest in his love and trust him to fight our battles. No need to wear ourselves out trying to fight in our own strength. Blessings.

  5. Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
    Zechariah 4:6
