Serve God Alone

We are to serve only one God, the Great God, Maker of all things and bountiful in mercy and grace. For by God’s grace we have salvation through His Son Christ Jesus, who He sacrificed for the forgiveness of our sins.

“It is the LORD your God you shall fear. Him you shall serve and by his name you shall swear.”

(Deuteronomy 6:13)

Oh, how wonderful it is to raise our hands in praise to God our Father, who has given us eternal life through Jesus our Lord. His deeds are awesome and His ways are just, that from age to age, we have surety He will keep His promises.

God alone is our refuge. He is our strength and our bulwark. No other god can rescue us from our enemies. No other power can give us courage in the face of tribulation. Only God can save us from disease.

Let us drop to our knees and serve the God of creation. Let us give honor to the One who has given us breath. For only He can save us from the evil that lies in wait. Only He defeated Satan. Serve God alone.

  1. Your words beautifully highlight the monotheistic beliefs found in Christianity and similar faiths, emphasizing service to God as a central tenet. The biblical quote you provided further emphasizes this point. It’s evident that your faith provides you with strength, hope, and a sense of purpose. Your reverence for God’s grace, benevolence, and the salvation offered through Jesus Christ clearly shapes your worldview. It’s inspiring to see such devotion and conviction. May your faith continue to guide and enrich your life. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and beliefs.

  3. Nancy’s comment made me want to listen to Jack Hayford’s Majesty. I didn’t think to name drop at the time of writing part 2 of my OFDAAT series, but my parents went to Bible college with Jack. Not sure if he would have remembered them in the last 50 years, but I do remember when the song came out and him coming to our church and talking about it. I once went to the TBN studios to hear him preach. Vern Jackson was singing. I just read his wiki page and realized he went to be with Jesus in January. I’m so envious – lol. I still have work to do here, so I’ll check in with him later when I get there too – lol.😜
