Perfect Love Casts Out Fear

Are we afraid of what others could do to us? We should not fear, for if we confess Jesus is the Son of God, God will be with us, protect us and care for us from sunset to sunset. He will not allow us to fall by the wayside, for His love will abide in us forever.

“God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”

(1 John 4:16,18)

If we have God abiding in us, then fear has no room in us. Fear is the worry of punishment; but Jesus came to remove that punishment. Through Him, we have reconciliation with the Father; therefore whatever our sin, we have forgiveness and no reason to worry about judgment.

With fear no longer choking us, we can live abundant and joyful lives. We then no longer are walking in the darkness, but raising our hands in praise in the light. With God as our only God, He perfects our faith by His love abiding in us.

Therefore, let us not fear of what others could do to us. Through Jesus’ sacrifice, God has promised to deliver us from our trials and tribulations. All we have to do is have faith that He will do it, for perfect love casts out fear.

  1. Not the right meaning to that verse. That verse means that the fears of people judging you, fears of people condemning you, fears of what others think of you are cast out by Perfect Love. These internal fear torment your Soul.

    1. As written in 1 John 4:18: “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.” Even more so, as defined: “For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”

Through Jesus’ sacrifice we no longer have to fear, as he removed the punishment of sin, for as written in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Therefore, fear not, for Christ has paid for our sins and we now have perfect love dwelling in our heart.

      God bless.

      1. That isn’t exactly the meaning of that first verse. The idea of punishment for sins it’s the message of Perfect Love. Perfect Love is the reminder that you are one with God.
