Seek Wisdom from God

When King Nebuchadnezzar had a frightful dream and searched all Babylon for its interpretation, the prophet Daniel looked to God for wisdom and understanding. For only through God comes true revelation of the secret things.

“Daniel answered and said:
‘Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
to whom belong wisdom and might.
He changes times and seasons;
he removes kings and sets up kings;
he gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to those who have understanding;
he reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him.
To you, O God of my fathers,
I give thanks and praise,
for you have given me wisdom and might,
and have now made known to me what we asked of you,
for you have made known to us the king’s matter.’”

(Daniel 2:20-23)

All wisdom and understanding comes from God, who created all things, made all things through His son Jesus, and imbued the church with true knowledge. That which is not known, is known through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Give thanks and praise to God our Father, who has revealed His truth to us by His Spirit. We have knowledge of Christ being our salvation, our redeemer, and the One who stood in our place, dying on the cross for our sins.

Blessed is God’s name forever, who has the power to change times and seasons, and to set up and remove governments for His purpose. His salvation is from everlasting to everlasting.

Blessed be His name. Seek wisdom from God.

  1. Jack, my friend.

    Seeking God, and Wisdom which can rightly only come from God is a prudence of wise men of all religions.
    My friend have you ever pondered WHY there are many thousands of Protestant churches; each defined by its OWN set of Faith beliefs. One assumes from their understanding of what the bible is teaching. …That stems from a lack of Divine Wisdom.
    Jack, I know the the reason for this; if you’d care to know please let me know.
    God Be with Us,

    1. Hello Patrick,

      My foundation for all knowledge is the bible. Below are scriptures that have comforted me during times of great uncertainty. I hope they will confort you:

      “Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict” (Luke 21:14-15).

      “Then some of those who belonged to the synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called), and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and Asia, rose up and disputed with Stephen. But they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he was speaking” (Acts 6:9-10).

      “For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart'” (1 Corinthians 1-18-19).

      “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9).

      Blessings always,

      Jack
