What a joy it is to know that we as sheep have God to lead us to lie down in green pastures. He gives us the rest we so truly need, and by it, He restores our souls. He is our one true shepherd.
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” (John 10:11)
Although trials may surround us and we may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, God’s staff comforts us. His spirit provides us with the strength we need to move forward and overcome. For our hope will always remain in the Lord.
If our enemies take up a quarrel with us, then we shall not fear them. Their words will be like a vapor and shall not harm us. God will anoint us in their presence. He will make known His pleasure in our lives, and He will bless us until our cup overflows.
Throughout all the days of our lives shall goodness and mercy follow us. God’s love for us will never fail. His peace will always be upon His sheep, and we shall one day rest in the house of the Lord forever.
What a wonderful gift it is to know the Lord is our shepherd.
Looking to God 
We don’t say “I shall not want” because we have everything we desire we say it because God is fulfilling every void in our life with Himself. We may not have everything that our heart desires, but we have everything that we need in Christ. I pray that we grow more to see the Lord as shepherd and live from the truth “I shall not want.”

Yes, The Lord is my Shepherd and what comfort He brings me!
Hi Vicki, I can’t agree with you more! Every night as I fall asleep, I recite Psalms 23. I’ve been doing that for a few years now. And you know, I can truly say, I am at peace for the night, falling asleep and waking up in the morning with God still on my mind. He so much comforts me with that psalm!

Psalms 23 is my favorite Bible verse. I memorized it as a very little girl and recited it all the time without really fully understanding it’s meaning. It was a time in my life that was very difficult. It’s easy to see that it sustained me then and still does today. Our Lord knows what we need even when we’re unable to know ourselves. “John.10: [16] And I have other sheep, that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will heed my voice. So there shall be one flock, one shepherd” ( “One flock by logic means but a single set of “faith beliefs”

What a wonderful witness Christ was to the Jews, as Verse 17 continues to say, “For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again.” How many of them saw His crucifixion, and ultimately seeing it, made them believers, bringing them into the fold? To have seen and heard, yet not to have known would have been awful. I wish above all things, we may continue to follow the voice of our shepherd, Jesus.
It is a comfort to know He continuously watches over us. 🙏🏿
