In everything we do, we ought to love one another. For if we love one another, we will not harbor grudges, we will not hurt from heartbreak, we will always look to God for His will, and most of all, we will be at peace. Love one another, for in love we will know God. As He lives inside of us, His nature will show outside of us. It is a difficult thing to keep the nature of God from urging us to do good to others. For when His spirit works in us to do His will, we have all but to contain our love for Him and for others.
The Apostle Paul explains it like this:
“Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, ‘You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,’ and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” (Romans 13:8-10)
As bearers of God’s gift of the Holy Spirit, we owe others our love. Through that love we will not want to lust and commit adultery, we will not want to hate and murder, we will not want to steal, and we will not want to covet. Our love for one another will be deep, will be high, will be strong and will be wide. There will be no limit to our love for one another because there is no limit to God’s love.
Let us come before God with humble hearts, seeking His will, and loving one another.
Quite some time ago when I was still teaching our Catholic Faith in the classroom; this particular class was high-schoolers; I was asked: “Mr Miron; could YOU explain the Bible is a single word?”
I said a quick prayer and responded YES!
With the WORD “Love”
There is no greater commandment; and perhaps no greater life-challenge
My friend,
May the Holy Spirit guide and Bless Super-abundantly your Ministry

God is love, and the greatest commandment is to love God more than anything this world has to offer. If God is love, then, and if his spirit dwells within us, then we are such a wonderful witness to those who are looking to understand who God is. Because they will look to us and know that God lives. Blessings to you also, Patrick!
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16 (KJV)
Dig this post, Jack. You’re right, with love in our hearts there shouldn’t be room for all that other junk that separates us from God and pits us against other people. Blessings.
The wonderful thing about God is that he will never give up on us, Rainer. He loves us without boundaries. If we can do that also through his spirit, then we would be like God and have true happiness. God bless.
I must admit that I am struggling with this command, it seems that those closest to us can be the hardest to love. I struggle to see this person through the eyes of Christ instead of my own, to pray for this person and to ask the LORD to soften my heart…I know what I need to do, I just have to surrender to His will.
You are on the right path if you are praying for them. Ultimately God will provide you with the ability to see them from their perspective and it will change how you feel about them. Forgiveness is for you, not the other person, as it releases you from them. Keep praying!
We do need a lot more people demonstrating love in acts of kindness here in America.
I wish they would show more acts of love and kindness on the news. But I guess they don’t think it would help them sell air time for commercials.
Nice post and good reminder for us to demonstrate love to the people around us. 🙏😇🙏
If God is love, then we being his children ought to love as well. I cannot wait for the day when there will be peace on earth and God will make his dwelling among his people!
Amen 🙏😇
Thank you for this… ❤
I hope it was helpful!
Amen to this Jack. Just finished a great book by J. Vernon McGee “Through His Spirit”. Awesome book discussing the Holy Spirit.
What a wonderful opportunity we have reading what others have to say about the Holy Spirit and learning from their perspective.
