God Will Deliver Us from Evil

God has promised us that through Christ we have salvation. All the sufferings of this world are but a moment apart from God’s great deliverance. Lift your eyes to Him, offering him sweet sacrifices of prayer and see if He will not remove us from our tribulation.

“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.”

(Matthew 6:9-13)

Our hope is in God, for by His promises He will provide an escape from our trials. But we have to have faith. We have to rely on Him and no one else to save us. His mercy is great and His grace is sure. He will not allow us to suffer more than we can bear.

Believe His Word. Give praise continually to His name. For there is nothing God cannot do. Through Him, and Him alone, all things are possible. If God can deliver a nation from the hands of an adversary, imagine what more he can do with us.

Is it so difficult for God to intervene in our lives such that He could not deliver us from evil? We have Him on our side. No one can stand before the Great God. He is the beginning and the end. No enemy is so great that God could not vanquish. God will deliver us from evil.

Pray Without Ceasing

God so loved us such that He gave His only Son Jesus so that we might be saved. Knowing this, how should we pray? He will answer if we ask and our prayers do make a difference. We should ask God with fervency what His will is for our lives.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

We do not need to see God face to face to know what His will is. By obeying His Word, we will know God and we will know what He desires for us. His will is for us to love Him more than anything in this world and to love others as much as we love ourselves.

Pray always with a fervent heart, asking God for wisdom and strength. He will encourage the weak and provide an escape to those seeking Him with all their might. He will reveal Himself through miracles and wonders. His compassion will not abate from those who believe.

Glory to God in the highest, for He is good. Declare His name on high. Give honor to Him who gives life. Bless His holy countenance. Worship Him always. Pour your heart to Him who listens, for He is our God. Pray without ceasing.

Believe the Lord

God promised Abraham a promise only God could promise. Abraham was to receive millions of descendants from a son, who had yet to know life; born, no less, from a barren woman, whom God would open the womb.

“And Abram said, ‘Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir.’ And behold, the word of the LORD came to him: ‘This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir.’ And he brought him outside and said, ‘Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.’ Then he said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be.’ And he believed the LORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness.”

(Genesis 15:3-6)

If God could open the womb of a barren woman, how much more would He do for us if we believed in all He had promised? He would count our faith as righteousness and we would have salvation through His Son Jesus, who sacrificed His life for us.

If we believe Jesus is God’s Son, we have life. The Apostle Paul made it clear that God’s grace has no bounds. There is no requirement for salvation other than faith. Our works work toward our reward. Blessed are those who keep God’s commandments, for they will have life.

How should we live then? Love God and love others as we would love ourselves. Be patient and kind toward one another, loving one another, as God so loves us. For through love we have knowledge of God. Believe the Lord.

His Love Endures Forever

As many stars are in the sky, His love endures forever. As the ocean is large, His love endures forever. As many times as we repent, His love endures forever. For the stars may fail, the oceans may drain, and we may stumble, His love endures forever.

“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.”

(1 Chronicles 16:34)

As sure as the sun rises and the sun sets, His love endures forever. The winds in a storm may increase, the earth may shatter beneath our feet, and walls may collapse all around us, but His love endures forever. We may lose our ability to reason, yet His love endures forever.

God loves freely, unconditionally and without bounds. His nature affords life to all. Darkness does not exist in Him, for He is light. He bore light at the beginning of the world, and with it, He continues to impart His children with truth. The devil may tempt us, but God’s love endures forever.

No trial shall triumph over us, no suffering shall overtake us, and no tribulation shall remove us from our Lord, for His love endures forever.

His Word is steadfast, immovable and boundless. His love endures forever.

Jesus Is All We Need

No other truth is as simple, or as pure, or as undefiled as that of knowing Jesus is all we need. We may see others prosper, or grow in inheritance, and even gain the entire world, but in the end, will they be able to take all those riches with them?

“In these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

(Hebrews 1:2-3)

Jesus came to deliver us from the bond of sin, so that we would look to Him for salvation. True liberty comes not from being bound by the world’s desires, but by following Jesus and making Him the center of our world. Our freedom is with us believing He is the Son of God.

Through Jesus, we know God; through God, we have freedom, for through His Son, whom God has appointed as our savior, we will have hope for eternal life. That life does not esteem riches, but points to God’s glory as the foundation of our joy.

Seek Jesus with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind, for it will be well with you that day when you stand before God the Father and will give an accounting of your life to Him; because Jesus is all we need.

Blessed Be God Forever

When the Apostle Paul’s ship was about to run aground, he encouraged all who were with him, saying, no one would perish. Soon after, he broke bread with them on the ship and gave thanks to God, for God was the one who would protect them in their time of distress.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

(2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

God’s ways are not our ways; it is not within our nature to give thanks to God. We have a natural enmity toward Him. Yet, because of His Son Jesus’ sacrifice, an act that reconciled us to our Father, now we have a heavenly desire to please Him.

Blessed be God the Father for having given us the longing to do good through the power of His Spirit. By the Holy Spirit, we have encouragement to seek His will and live a life reflective of His own nature, which is pure in character and abundant in charity.

How great is our God to have poured into us His Spirit so that we may enjoy the fruit of His mercy. His grace abounds, His love for us never grows cold and His shield is an everlasting shield. Blessed be God forever.

Always Do Good

Do good to others and share in their burden. Be patient and kind; never allow haughtiness to enter your heart. Comfort the sick; minister to them who are lacking health, for the day will come when the Lord will ask for an accounting of all our deeds.

“See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.”

(1 Thessalonians 5:15)

Encourage the weak, for through our God we have strength. Give to the poor, for as we provide them shelter and warmth, we are doing good to Jesus. Bless those who hate us, for by their own words God will judge them.

Be at peace with one another. Do not let the troubles of this world seek to separate you from the body of Christ. Our salvation is in the Lord. All glory belongs to Him. Let His peace be upon you and upon those around you.

Love those who seek to destroy you, for they do not know what they do. Do not seek vengeance, for the Lord’s wrath will be upon them. Love all, bless all and give to those who ask. Never part with your gifts in anger.

Always do good.
