Seek Peace

Blessed are those who calm the angry, for God will look upon them in favor and call them His children. As children of God, we then will inherit all things, visible and invisible, created by Him and sustained by Him through His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

“Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”

(Psalms 34:14)

Always look to quiet the enraged, for they do not know what they do. Their anger is as a fire that consumes everything and everyone around them. Have mercy on them as God has mercy on us, for in their anger they will also burn themselves in the fire.

Better is a day of peace in mourning than a thousand days of celebration in murmuring. God reveals Himself in a whisper than in a storm. Seek peace always, never letting others carry us away into the flames of hell, for God will reward our faithfulness.

Pray always for strength and encouragement to overcome anger with peace. Give ear to God and His voice. He will guide those who seek Him. He will provide for those who love Him. Seek peace.

  1. Oh yes, I know a few angry people. I used to get angry in turn, but now, more matured in my faith, it’s easier to interact with them positively. I mostly feel sorry for them now.

  2. Happy St Patrick
God gives us the beautiful planet earth ( The World). Torah, daughter of Yahweh carefully drew, the world, The Sun, the light, the Stars in the Universe. All the planet aligned from hottest to coldest.

    1. Let us continue to do God’s will, as His joy will then be in our hearts and all the trials of this world will be easier to carry. God bless you, Joanne.

  3. Thanks, Jack, for sharing an important aspect of our Christian walk. In a culture that magnifies going off and engaging in the spectacle of anger, this is so important for us. We should model seeking peace. However, it does begin with the peace of Christ in the inner man. God bless you.

    1. Yes, our walk with Christ begins by become like Christ: being compassionate, gentle, kind, considerate. No greater thing is there than to love God and others as ourselves. May God bless you also!

  4. Amen 🙏💫 Blessed are those who calm the angry, for God will look upon them in favor and call them His children. May we always seek peace and show mercy as God has shown us. 🙏🌿

  5. The Bible says anger rests in the bosom of a fool. I’ve been a fool in my day. I hope to not be such a fool in my older days. Blessings to you, Jack Flacco. Your writings are always timely and a good reminder to the rest of us to obey God’s Word. I need those reminders….
