The Word of the LORD Proves True

God’s Word is as a rock, solid and unshaken; it does not change. From shore to shore, its wisdom is as vast as the ocean, providing guidance when we need it most. It reveals God’s plan and what we will inherit once we return to the Father.

For it is you who light my lamp;
the LORD my God lightens my darkness.
For by you I can run against a troop,
and by my God I can leap over a wall.
This God—his way is perfect;
the word of the LORD proves true;
he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

(Psalms 18:28-30)

God’s Word promises salvation to those who believe Jesus is the Son of God. He guarantees that we will one day dwell with Him forever. No greater a promise is that of having eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

God’s Word gives us comfort in times of trial and tribulation. We have hope, reading that He would never leave us nor forsake us. We have His glorious truth on which to meditate day and night. Wonderful is His Word; perfect is His plan for us.

God’s Word is life; great is our joy and pleasure abounding. His Word is sure, true and faithful; it will never fail. His Word is as a light, showing us the way through the darkness. The word of the LORD proves true.

  1. HI, Jack. I always enjoy reading your posts. Recently, it’s been challenging keeping up with it all. This is one of my favorite Scriptures. I have the coffee mug. I love God’s word. How would we make it through otherwise? This is a reminder to hold onto the promises of God. He is faithful. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Amen, Jack! God’s Word is our sure foundation. What a comfort it is in the unstable times we live in.

    This post reminds me of these words out of Hebrews 4:

    “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

    God’s blessings…
