Take Comfort in God

When we bow our knees to the Lord our God, knowing He has sacrificed so much for us through His son Jesus, seeking His will for our lives in faith, He will answer us and give us what we need. He will not let us suffer more than we can bear.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

(2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

Seek riches that moth cannot corrupt and rust cannot consume, for real riches, true eternal riches, come from God. The rich store gold in their purses and goods in their homes, but the wise, who seek God’s will, store eternal riches in mansions that will not fade.

Take comfort in God knowing the rich have received their reward. Our reward is yet waiting for us in heaven, and neither man nor demon will be able to take away what God has generously given to us, His elect.

Count it all joy when God allows us to wait for His answer to our requests. His plans for us will not fail, for He purposes His will so that we glorify Him in all things through our patient endurance. Therefore, brothers and sisters, be of cheer; again, take comfort in God.

    1. We all share in the burden of suffering, but there is hope. With Jesus as our savior, we know that once we are before God’s throne, at the judgment, we have eternal life, not because of anything we did, but because He loved us and bestowed His grace upon us. He is merciful and so long as we repent, believe in Christ, He will forgive us and bless us with that hope. God bless you, Frank.

  1. Sometimes those trials are hard to endure; but when the lesson is learned, God’s peace arrives. I had to set some boundaries and not engage with some dark forces in our neighborhood. As the Bible states: “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness”….. I also have to work out my own salvation with fear and trembling and let go of the world and not be part of its practices.

  2. Amen, take comforrt in God. We could have the wealth of the world and be completely void of true riches. The faithful put their trust in God, and will paitiently wait for eternall glory.
    Blessings brother.
