During times of trial, our comfort comes from knowing we have God by our side, who loves us, and has given His Son Jesus to pay for the penalty of our sins. How difficult would it be then to love our neighbors as much as God so loved us?
“And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
(Matthew 22:37-39)
Our desire should be to comfort our neighbor as God comforts us. For God has not held anything back from us, so why should we hold anything back from our neighbor? Give freely to those in need, comfort them and love them with your whole heart.
Bless your neighbor as yourself. Show them mercy as God has shown us mercy. If they are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them drink. If they are cold, embrace them with all that God has given us.
No manner of affliction ought to prevent us from doing good to others. Through trial, God lives in us to bless those who need light in the midst of darkness. Let your light shine. Bless the weary in deed by extending your hands to them. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Yes! Amen, sometimes it’s hard to love your neighbor as yourself……… “BUT GOD” He will help me in the hard times!
With Jesus, all things are possible!
Doing my best. Aim to do better.

May God bless you always!
You as well. Blessings 🙏
We can do all things through Christ who straightens us. His grace is sufficient. Great post as usual. Thanks.

Matthew 24:4
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and surrender you.
Matheus 7:6
We can do all things by God’s spirit. God bless you, Carlos!

Excellent message Jack. May this resonate throughout the year my friend. 😊🙏🏽🥰 Thanks for sharing!
May God’s peace and love be with you always, Kym!
Thanks so much Jack, and the same to you too my friend! 🤗🙏🏽😊
I’ve often been kind and helpful to neighbors, etc. in need of emotional support or food, but I have a lingering guilt that I should have followed up more or given more of my time for them. The Good Lord doesn’t help us once and then say, “That’s enough.” Great blog, Jack! 🙂
As God pours His Spirit into us, we pour our love onto others. By the prompting of the Holy Spirit, we live in accordance with God’s will. What an awesome life we have in Jesus–to know He wants us to do more! What a wonderful blessing, Nancy!
Yes!! Let’s be a light this holiday season and show others the grace that God has given us. Such a great reminder to start off the week, thank you!
And as we so shine our light, so shall we give glory to God who has blessed us with the truth of His Son Jesus’ salvation. God bless you!
It can be challenging, but with God’s love and guidance, we can strive to love our neighbors as ourselves.
In all things, we can do anything with Jesus living in us. God bless.
