Walk in the Light

Brethren, do as Jesus did, doing all that our Heavenly Father willed for us through His Son. For through Him, we have life and our salvation is in Him, whom God has given, so that we also will one day stand before God and receive our eternal reward.

“If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

(1 John 1:7)

Jesus is all we need. God will forgive us if we believe Jesus is His Son. If we walk in His ways, doing good to all, blessing those who curse us, giving to the poor, showing mercy to those who spite us, then we indeed will know Him.

If we do not do as Jesus did, as He had taught His disciples, then we sin and darkness is in us. If we say we have not sinned, then we are liars and the truth is not in us. For the truth and the light is in those who do what Jesus did.

Therefore, brethren, serve God, and glorify Him in all your works. Feed the hungry, give to those who are lacking, look after the widows and provide for the orphans of the church. As Jesus walked in the light, let us walk in the light also.

  1. What a powerful call to follow the example of Jesus! The reminder to walk in the light, extending love, mercy, and generosity to others, reflects the essence of Christian living. The emphasis on serving God and glorifying Him through our actions, especially in caring for the vulnerable, resonates with the teachings of Jesus. It’s a beautiful expression of faith in action, acknowledging that our salvation is found in Him. May we all strive to mirror His love and compassion in our daily lives, walking in the light as we follow the footsteps of our Savior!

  2. Love the photoshot. Nice quality.

    Love the message as well.

May I ask you the following question?

As it relates to the message you shared- in your life have you always found it to come relatively easy, to be kind , giving, forgiving to all?

I ask this because I haven’t known you nor your works my whole life…

Your site and godly works do resonate and align with kindness, giving, it’s genuine..

But I wonder, has it always been this way for you?

    Thanks for your time.

    God bless

    1. Hi Ben,

Being kind, giving and forgiving takes a lot of work. I need to work on it ever day, as it does not come naturally to me. I always am in a struggle with my will and God’s will. Thankfully, I have the Holy Spirit who helps me, and through whom God strengthens me by His Son Jesus.

Rather than fumbling through it, trying to explain it, here is an article I had written when I was going through my transformation: https://lookingtogod.org/2016/04/11/transformation/. I hope it helps!

God bless you always and thank you for commenting,

      Jack

  3. Simple and obvious as light!

“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth is not condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
    John 3:18,19
