Jesus Is All We Need

No other truth is as simple, or as pure, or as undefiled as that of knowing Jesus is all we need. We may see others prosper, or grow in inheritance, and even gain the entire world, but in the end, will they be able to take all those riches with them?

“In these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

(Hebrews 1:2-3)

Jesus came to deliver us from the bond of sin, so that we would look to Him for salvation. True liberty comes not from being bound by the world’s desires, but by following Jesus and making Him the center of our world. Our freedom is with us believing He is the Son of God.

Through Jesus, we know God; through God, we have freedom, for through His Son, whom God has appointed as our savior, we will have hope for eternal life. That life does not esteem riches, but points to God’s glory as the foundation of our joy.

Seek Jesus with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind, for it will be well with you that day when you stand before God the Father and will give an accounting of your life to Him; because Jesus is all we need.

  1. Warm greetings, Jack!! And many, many thanks, for being so faithful – first to Jesus, then to those who need to hear His word, and at least to some old writers 😉

  3. Beautiful post!
Interesting that the topic of “you can’t take it with you” came up yesterday.
I was giving a lecture on the items of yesteryear that we no longer have.
A man said that he put his wedding photos on his phone because after he passed his children might discard his wedding album and he felt having the photos on his phone might preserve the photos. (It kind of makes sense, but not really).
Either way, the comment was very sad to hear, because after we’re dead, does it really matter?
We have Jesus and that’s what does matter — not our cars, not our clothes, or our homes, not even wedding albums.

      1. Thank you, Sir. I badly need this. I will be going back to my thyroid doctor tomorrow for the result of my blood test and ultrasound (I have multiple thyroid nodules). If the result is favorable, she will give me clearance to undergo another hip operation due to being hit by an 18-wheeler truck 6 years ago (which left me partially disabled – still in a wheelchair). As it is, I have severe palpitations hindering her from giving me clearance. 🙏🏻

  4. Exactly. It’s the solution to a lot of problems plaguing my generation. But because accepting it means giving up what they wickedly desire to do, I believe a lot of them choose to stick their heads in the sand when it comes to learning the truth.

    1. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
      Proverbs 4:7

For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense: but the excellence of knowledge is, that wisdom givesth life to them that have it.
      Ecclesiastes 7:12

  5. ¹⁹ For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sounds of God.
²⁰ For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but for reason of him who had subjected the same in hope,
²¹ Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
²² For we know that the whole creation groans and labors in pain together until now.
²³ And not only them, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
    Romans 8:19-23

    1. You have the perfect screen name for this post. My favorite song in all the world – Undercover’s – Jesus For Me, it’s simple and straight to the point. And it has some great guitar work.
