Bless the Lord for He is merciful. His kindness is from everlasting to everlasting. His grace is bountiful and does not end. His love lasts forever.
Bless the LORD, O you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his word,
obeying the voice of his word!
Bless the LORD, all his hosts,
his ministers, who do his will!
Bless the LORD, all his works,
in all places of his dominion.
Bless the LORD, O my soul!(Psalms 103:20-22)
There are no other gods before our God, for all other gods are dust. They do not have ears to hear our prayers. They do not have eyes to see our needs. They cannot speak a blessing on our lives. Our God is perfect in all things and absolute in power.
Glorious is God’s purpose for us, His children. He sacrificed His Son Jesus, so that we may live. In our repentance, He has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit. He is with us always, guiding us in all things, leading us to do good so that others may come to repentance to Him.
Praise God for His wonderful works. Give Him honor for His awesome deeds. Worship Him from morning until evening. Endless should be our prayers to Him and joyful are we dwelling with him. Bless the Lord!

Thank you for sharing the end of this amazing Psalm, Jack.
I liked your words:
“There are no other gods before our God, for all other gods are dust. They do not have ears to hear our prayers. They do not have eyes to see our needs. They cannot speak a blessing on our lives.”
These words remind me of the great battle (I guess it was hardly a battle) between Elijah and the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel. I’m starting a bit of the way into 1 Kings 18:20-40:
“26 And they took the bull that was given them, and they prepared it and called upon the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, ‘O Baal, answer us!’ But there was no voice, and no one answered. And they limped around the altar that they had made. 27 And at noon Elijah mocked them, saying, ‘Cry aloud, for he is a god. Either he is musing, or he is relieving himself, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and must be awakened.’ 28 And they cried aloud and cut themselves after their custom with swords and lances, until the blood gushed out upon them. 29 And as midday passed, they raved on until the time of the offering of the oblation, but there was no voice. No one answered; no one paid attention.”
Baal did not answer because Baal is a fake god. Baal is the imagination of false prophets.
The next 11 verses in 1 Kings 18 portray the power of the real God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Any god that is not the one we know from the Bible can’t even be a pretender because it can’t be real. People pretend. False gods cannot pretend.
Our God is the same God that is described in Hebrews 13:8:
8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Praise God we have the reliable God who is clearly presented to us in God’s Holy Word, the Bible.
Thank you for sharing this post, Jack.
May God bless you and your readers…
One day, all will bow their knees to the one and only God, creator of all things. Those who believed will be glorified as Christ was glorified. Blessed are those who God calls. Blessed are you, Chris. May God be with you always!
Indeed, Jack. All will come to realize that the Bible is indeed the Word of God. And the Jesus that the Bible describes will rightfully be acknowledged.
“2 The Word was with God in the beginning. 3 All things were created by him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.”
I can’t even imagine what we will be like but I know it will be better than what we have now and our bodies now are pretty miraculous.
20 “But our citizenship is in heaven—and we also eagerly await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform these humble bodies of ours into the likeness of his glorious body by means of that power by which he is able to subject all things to himself.” Philippians 3
I have been blessed as you have been blessed. Thank you for your kind words.
God’s blessings…
Blessings and peace to you also, Chris.
These are wonderful suggestions and reminders to honor our God-and spurn the fake ones which are dust! Thanks, Jack.
May God’s grace and peace be with you, Nancy!
